Event Management with French Lick

At the French Lick Resort and Casino, I spent much of my time in events. This ranged from concerts, casino giveaway events, the Polar Express train ride in the Winter, recreational activities, New Year's parties, prom, banquets, and plenty more.

I grew up in French Lick, and being a small town, I connected with many of the managers through playing sports in high school and some of my family working there in various positions. I was able to discuss my experience at Ball State with the Director of Events who was friends with my uncle, and the director took me under his wing as a part-time event coordinator.

My main accomplishments include:
- Booking Joan Jett, Styx, Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, and more for the annual concert series
- Overseeing smaller scale events such as the annual Christmas tree lighting, Kids' Klub activities, DJ pool parties, corporate meetings, and golf scrambles
- Coordinating with event staff on casino giveaways, which were days the Resort would easily see over $1 million in gross revenue

I also spent time in other departments such as valet, bellhop, and front desk which rounded out a majority of my hospitality experience.
